Experience four fascinating performances of the rodeo where “Champions Come to Play the First Weekend in May” at the Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo in the Oklahoma Panhandle.
Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo is sanctioned by both the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association and the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association, both of which serve as the largest sanctioning bodies in the sport. Money won in Guymon counts toward qualifications to the National Finals Rodeo, which takes place in Las Vegas.
• In 2015, Guymon’s rodeo was inducted into the ProRodeo Hall of Fame and still stands as the only rodeo in Oklahoma to receive such an honor.
• In 2002, Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo was named the PRCA’s Large Outdoor Rodeo of the Year. It has been nominated for Rodeo of the Year several times since and continues to be an event that draws almost 1,000 contestants to the Panhandle region each year.

With the Oklahoma Panhandle State University Rodeo this weekend and the Guymon Pioneer Days Rodeo next week, here are some suggested routes to the Henry C Hitch Pioneer Arena. ODOT and City of Guymon recommend using Hurliman Road (purple route), 12th Street (blue route), or SW 5th (orange route). East Street (turquoise route) and Main Street (green route) are also options, but are not options for semi truck traffic. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Guymon Chamber of Commerce at 580-338-3376. We look forward to seeing you!
